Testimonials

To Whom It May Concern:

Mr. Roy Prevost was selected by the Trade Team Saskatchewan Investment Working Group to deliver a speaker series to communities across Saskatchewan on the topic of youth retention. The speaker series was intended to assist communities in their planning process by bringing new ideas to the region on how to engage the community leadership and the youth, build optimism, take action and establish a proactive approach for retaining youth.

Over a period of four days from March 26-29, 2007, the speaker series, coined “Creating Confident Communities”, was delivered in six communities to over 180 municipal leaders, economic practitioners, and business leaders through a series of luncheons and evening receptions.

Roy provided examples of successful communities and how their "Out of the Box" strategies have helped retain their young workers, provided the audience with proactive strategies on how to engage young people in the community activities and gave a glimpse of the future as it relates to the workplace for the X and Y generation in a wired world and the advantages for smaller communities.

Roy’s energy, passion and positive message was well received by the communities. His focus on the importance of attitude, leadership and giving back to your community to make it a better place struck a chord with many participants. Feedback received from the speaker series was positive; Roy was viewed as engaging, informative and inspirational.

Thank you for your positive insights and for reminding us on how really fortunate we are to be living in this great country of Canada!

Best Regards,
Brendan Reding & Mona Taylor

To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you SEDA (Saskatchewan Economic Developers Association) and Trade Team Saskatchewan Investment Working Group consisting of: Saskatchewan Regional Economic and Co-operative Development, Saskatchewan Industry and Resources, Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and Western Economic Diversification Canada for allowing our community to be part of Roy Prevost’s presentation “Creating Confident Communities” and “Youth Retention in Communities” on March 26th, 2007.

His inspiring talk sure woke us up!

His common sense approach and strategies have motivated us to engage our young people in a very constructive retention process within our community.

I would highly recommend Roy’s workshop to any community who needs a wake up call and a strategy to energize their younger generation.

To Whom it May Concern:

On March 28th, 2007, Southwest REDA in partnership with Swift Current Chamber of Commerce Labor Attraction and Retention Committee was pleased to host Roy Prevost as a guest speaker. Roy spoke to local employers on youth attraction and retention including generational differences.

Roy’s message captivated the audience and was presented in a manner that each and everyone could relate to. His ability to involve the audience and add a personal touch is unique. I believe his presentations are delivered professionally and an audience of any age would enjoy them.

I am grateful we have now had the opportunity to hear two of Roy’s presentations and hope to work in the future with Roy again.

Sincerely,
Keleah Herron

Roy, you delivered the exact message that we needed to hear!

As the saying goes, ”When the student is ready, the teacher appears”. Thank you for teaching and reminding us how blessed we are as a community and how we need to get that message out to all our citizens particularly the youth.

We would love to have you come back again in the near future.
